This first picture is of a bookshelf of my grandfather's. Since I was very young, my grandparents' house was always a place to exercise my imagination, and this shelf was no exception. I loved the smell, the look, the feel of these old books. Having dinner at their house yesterday, I decided to take a picture of them for you readers, to share some memories of books I have.
This is the bookmark I am using for The Meaning of Night. I love bookmarks and have a nice collection of them, of which I hope to one day post pictures of ;). This particular bookmark is new; my eldest sister brought it back from Hawaii for me. It is a wooden surfboard with a little turtle and "Kauai" engraved in the middle! Oh, and a little pink fish hanging from the top! I love it!!
This is my other bookmark, for Hopscotch. A string with two matching magnets at either end, this clasp bookmark is quite sweet. "All the wonders you seek are within yourself" is written on blue, and the star is golden.
I live to read and haven't been without a book since middle school. I am an English Major and hope one day to be an editor, a critic, a publisher, or even own a book store. As long as I am surrounded by books, I'm happy. I decided to make this blog as a way for me to share all the wonderful books I read with anybody who cares to join me :)
